Soulworks Artists in Boston PDF Print E-mail

Soulworks familySoulworks artists, The Kuwagos, Sodapop Suicide, and the Happy Analogues are back in Jersey after a great tour in Boston last October 11 and 12.
 
The bands played in Cafe Midway along with two of the best Fil-Am artists in the New England Fil-Am music scene: Code Name Nina and Fred Abong.
 
The tour was more than just a regular road trip, it was a family trip as most of the artists brought their wives and kids to enjoy Beantown.
 
Photo is taken at Jin's Shabu-Shabu place, where the Soulworks family all had an all-you-can-eat seafood dinner after the gig. The historic Rock in the Box Weekend was another milestone for all artists and supporters of Filipino music in North America. This is indeed the farthest we have all gone in terms of our unity as one people. We have all made history and we we will forever be remembered for all our sacrifices and love. Never to be forgotten.
Many of us have traveled far to be able to connect with one another and celebrate our likenesses through music. We have gathered as one people and we have shown everyone that nothing is impossible.

Rock in the Box Weekend Begins This Friday PDF Print E-mail

NEW YORK– Rock in the Box Weekend, the biggest gathering of Filipino artists from all over North America begins this Friday, August 29 at Rehab NYC (25 Avenue B) at 8:00 PM.
It is the start of a two-night festival celebrating the release of the second volume of the Filipino compilation album, Rock in the Box 2, which will be launched the following night on Saturday, August 30 at Crash Mansion (199 Bowery) also at 8:00 PM.
