Since 2005, Soulworks released some of the most memorable songs and albums in the NY/NJ indie music scene.
There was the seminal debut album by New Jersey band Bleud, Musings of a Caffeine Addict, which gave birth to hits like Bye Bye Na, Field Trip, and Babolgam Music.
Then there were the landmark all-original compilation albums Rock and the Box volumes one and two, and the Rocky Yuletide Christmas compilation series.
Who could forget the Kuwagos' debut album in 2007, which made the band the legend that it is today?
How about The Happy Analogues? The band that released the most number of materials since their debut album Lilacs and Politics in 2007–six singles, three EPs, and a double disc album in 2009.
And we are not yet done. Sodapop Suicide's debut album Nothing Tastes Like released in 2009, capped a decade of unforgettable indie music, which Soulworks is so proud to be a part of.
Now, the new Soulworks will not just be a label, but a complete company that will have the following services: music publishing, music production, artist marketing, and record company.
Here's to the next decade!
